Poesias from: "The Vagabond Anthology"

Abaixo estão duas poesias que me gostei quando me deparei com o livro “The Vagabond Anthology” – 1978 - by John M. Bennet
Love Story - Nila NorthSun

I figure we’ll be together
Forever
Why not?
He’s so much a part of me
Yet strange enough
that I can’t take him for granted
forever is until we can’t be together
maybe one of us dies
maybe one will murder the other
maybe one will just disappear
we figure if one of us gets
mentally & physically fucked up
dribbling spit
sittin’ in our own piss
can´t even pick our nose
& lose our mind
we’ll perform a mercy killing
I told him if I
roll my eyeballs twice
then look cross-eyed
it meant I was miserable and
to off me
that’s presupposin’ i’ll even have
that much control
otherwise he can assume I’m relatively
happy
observin’ things around me
reflectin’ on past events
he can leave me in a corner
watching a flickerin candle until
I roll my eyeballs twice
& then looked cross eyed.

Door in Pieces - by John M. Bennet

Situation

Lock yourself in a bare, empty room, from which there is no exit.
Throw the key out the window, down a heating duct, or in some other way make it inaccessible to you.

Ritual
At arm’s length, stand quietly facing the door for 30 minutes.
When the 30 minutes have passed, raise your right arm (or left arm if left-handed) and place your palm flat against the door. Stand this way for another 30 minutes.
When these 30 minutes have passed, walk around the room until you find the right place to sleep, then lie down and sleep for several hours.
Completion
After sleeping several hours,
Get up and break down the door.

Are you a lifelong learning?

But what does 'BONS ALUNOS' mean? Será que é somente tirar notas boas? and what does 'LIFELONG LEARNER' mean?

Leia o texto a seguir e descubra.

A Good Learner Is Someone Who…
actively participates and is enthusiastic about learning. You don´t have to be smart!
cares about the material and about what they are learning.
can think critically and interacts with other students!
is aware of when they don't understand and able to communicate that to the teacher. Is curious and always tries...
is not afraid to ask questions and question the teacher.
is open-minded and able to question their own beliefs.
is proactive and responsible for their own learning. Finds out what they need to know and how it fits into their life.
is respectful, open and tolerant of new ideas and information.
remembers to do the homework and asks for help when they don't understand.
reviews class notes regularly.
listens to information and figures out what it means in your life and respects what it means to others.
listens carefully, even if they disagree.
makes full use of class time. Doesn´t just study for an exam.
is motivated and willing to learn always more...
is able to access resources - in and out of the classroom.
never stops learning because he is a LIFELONG LEARNER....!!!

- Gabriel Garcia Marquez in “O Amor no Tempo do Cólera”

e vivo escolhendo o dia inteiro!
